Describe who you are and what you do
My name is Eddie Hendrix. I am a fashion designer. I am currently learning style work and fine tuning creative direction in becoming a stylist.

What drew you to this particular creative outlet?
I saw my sisters hot glue-ing patch work on a pair of jeans. It intrigued me so I decided to try it. I then started to deconstruct my clothes and redoing them the way I wanted. My mothers favorite story to tell is how she was tired of smelling hot glue in the house. She then surprised me one year for Christmas with a sewing machine and I kept going with it!

When did you decide to pursue your passion?
I was 15 years old when I started in fashion. I then pursued dance for a while. I then came back to fashion and I have been in it since!

Where do you draw inspiration from?
Inspiration is everywhere. I believe that the best inspiration is life itself.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned on your creative journey?
Humility!

What are you currently working on?
I am currently working to build my brand as a stylist. Once I build the proper connections then I would like to entertain starting a fashion line of my own!

Any words of advice for someone getting started in your field?
To anyone getting started in fashion, know who you are and stay true to it. It’s not hard work if you love what you do!
